The world is quieter from all the way up here
The shifting skin of all the things that loom big when you’re near
Before I never saw the laws that governed all these monstrous forms
Now the cosmic choreography’s made clear
The shadows grow longer as the sun retreats
My head is heavy and my body’s weak
But the night will not last forever
And the stars remember the day
The fire we preserve until morning
Is what keeps us alive until we can again find our way
The world was louder then, still ringing in my ear
But all I had for giving back were silence, doubt and fear
In turn I was concerned with how to learn the words and make them heard
And so I missed what I still had to hear
And I tried to say I couldn’t last so long
Devoid of what I needed to belong
And at last I know how to set it all aside
I am past the small hours of the night
From the land I’m off into bottomless blue sky
Now I stand in golden morning light

This is a great adaptation of Arthuriana and a brilliant narrative album. I love how the queerness of the characters is handled as an integral part of the narrative and plot development without it being the end all be all of the characters themselves. my boy Gawain deserved better though maritarvaniti
